Underground trains run to a timetable. They don't just turn up as and when as I'd always assumed.

Nurse is right.
So back to the OP.
It takes 365 days and 6 hours for the Earth to make one complete orbit of the Sun.
That is an obvious fact because of the Leap Year.
But try asking a random group of people the following question:
"How long does it take, to the nearest hour, for the Earth to make one complete orbit of the Sun?"
The answers are hilarious. One friend of mine, who studied at Oxford with me and went on to have a successful career in the City, replied:
"It's a trick question. The Earth doesn't go round the Sun, the Sun goes around us".

Napoleon chose as the symbol of his Empire not eagles or lions, but bees.
His thinking was that bees all work together for the benefit of the hive, are all equal except for the queen and are hard workers, thus encapsulating the spirit of the Revolution yet devotion to the Emperor.
There are bees all over the curtains, carpets and robes of the Napoleonic era.

The word Hôtel in French doesn't imply only a place of lodging. Like Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall) or Hôtel de Monnaie (The Mint).

Or 15, or 12 for that matter.
5625: 5 + 6 + 2 + 5 = 18, not divisible by 15, but 5625 is.
7344: 7 + 3 + 4 + 4 = 18, not divisible by 12, but 7344 is.

Doesn't work with 6.
36: 3 + 6 = 9. 9 isn't divisible by 6, but 36 is.

Talking about submarines. That U-boats spent the majority of their time above water where their diesel engines could work. below water they and to rely on battery power.
The snorkel was invented in the later stages so they could use their diesel but had a lot of problems.

There was also an attempt at making a submarine in the war of 1812, but like the earlier ones it did not succeed.
Horace Hunley developed the first successful sub for the Confederate navy in the Civil War. The Union blockade of southern ports was hurting the Confederacy's cotton exports so ingenuity in naval affairs was in high demand.
It sank a Union ship in February 1864 using a "spar torpedo", essentially an explosive on the end of a long stick rammed into the ship's hull.
The Hunley then itself sank with the loss of all its crew, the third time it had done so. Its previous sinking cost the life of Horace Hunley too, who was on board. It was a death trap.
However the Hunley has the record of being the first submarine ever to sink an enemy ship.
Another interesting military fact is that the first time a bomb was dropped from an aeroplane in a war was in 1911 when the Italians used aircraft during their invasion of Libya.
The pilots held the bomb between their knees and when they got over their target they opened a trap door in the floor beneath them and released their grip on the bomb.

Ere yeah and 6, 12, 15 or anything divisible by 3.
Furthermore the 3 rule is a subset of 1.
